Something to share...

This is what I wrote to my son the other day... I'd like to share it with you...

{WOW... how the days and years have gone by. I often sit and wonder " have I taught you all you need to know? have I shown you what the real life will bring you? What about money? Relationships.. OMG have I taught you not to make a girl cry? Hold the door for her, listen to her and love her for who she is? What about children? Have I been the mother I needed to be to make you the father that you will someday become?
I often sit and wonder what tomorrow will bring for you. I see you still that little boy dancing around wanting to help mommy yet you are the man that says "mom, let me help you."
I am so proud of you and wish you the very best in everything you do...Follow your dreams in this journey you are about to take and remember you will always be my little buddy... no mater how old you are!!! I love you
~mom}

With that said he responded that he will be my buddy and he loved me.. it was really sweet...I know this may be kinda crazy but I am taking this graduation thing a bit hard... with most of the women my age having babies or young children... I have teenagers... I don't want them to get older. OK.. enough of the bore.. I thought I would share what I wrote to him.
Have a good day and see you soon!
Hugs and misses!!!

OMG!!! THAT did it!! Tears are now flowing down my face!!! My son will be a Senior next year....(he missed the cut-off to be a grade older by 15 days)..so he's 17 almost 18...anyway.......I TOTALLY understand about 'taking the graduation thing hard'!!!!! I can't stress enough how many emotions have passed through me, even just THIS year!!! You are not crazy for wanting your little boy to 'always be your little boy'!!!! Dear Lord ABOVE, give me and YOU strength as we face the facts that our 'babies' are going to be on their own....making their own decisions. OMG, it's soooo hard to let go, isn't it??!!!! I know I'm going to be a blubbering idiot at THIS years graduation let alone next year. Hopefully, we have taught them all that they need to know, and it not, I'm praying that they will come back to their Mom's and ask for help or advice!!! I'm thinking of you!!!! (actually, crying right along with you)!!!

KERI, ALL THREE OF YOUR CHILDREN ARE AMAZING IN THEIR OWN WAYS. YOU HAVE TAUGHT THEM RIGHT FROM WRONG. YOU HAVE ALSO TAUGHT THEM TO BE THEMSELVES. THEREFORE EACH OF YOUR CHILDREN WILL SUCCEED IN ANYTHING THEY DO IN LIFE BECAUSE OF YOU, THEIR AMAZING MOTHER WHO GAVE THEM THE KNOWLEDGE. SO WITH THAT SAID, "YOU ARE THE COOL MOM!!!"

LOVE YA!!!!
