Well… well.. well… guess it has been a very long time and people do read my blog. Just kidding. I have been away for awhile yes, but I still am here. No there is no new address nor is there a new blog spot… there has been this thing I have been going through and guess it is time I tell everyone.
Are you sitting???? Hope so… if not please do…. This is going to be hard for me and yet possibly give me a sense of relief… I am not sure… Just thought it better be let out and told to the scrapbooking world….. I am ADDICTED to FACEBOOK!! Whheeeewwww… I said it! I know you have heard people do have addictions and all but the first step to recovery is admittance. See what started this was that I was asked to help with my 20th High school reunion and well it trickles down from there. One thing led to another and BOOM I was sucked in. I am on it from work, home and during play… I am now known by some as a Facebook whore… IDK.. It hurts when I am called this… sniff sniff.. OMG… here come some tears… sniff sniff… but it’s ok… I can handle it. The only thing I can say to this is that at least I am not being paid for it…ROFLMAO....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH snort..snort…cough... snort... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA hehehehehe
On a more serious note, I have been just busy with just junk that I have had no real excuse. I do miss everyone and hope everyone is doing well. Can you believe school is almost out? I will then have another Senior… wow how time flies.
Ok… here are updates: Tim did not get laid of.. thank god.. however he was moved to 3 day work weeks. That in itself has not been the funnest but he did get word yesterday that he will be put back on his regular 40 hour work weeks… YEAHH!!
CJ, my oldest son is doing good.. working and still looking for a car. Yes, his $600.00 POS has finally hit the bucket and now we are looking. He is with a new girl and her name is Sami. She is the best thing for him and I so love her. They have talked marriage but that is as far as it has gone… so cross your fingers it will not be fore awhile… I will have to post pictures of everyone so you can see. He is still thinking he will go to school just not yet… Personally I think he is realizing that he should not have took a year off and should have gone then. Oh well.. he will go!!! They are going to go to PROM too…. CJ never did go his Senior year cause of his date… well Sami has connections at North High (where she graduated last year as well) and so she and CJ will be going to prom… I get to have my moment and Sami is a girly girl just like Mercedes sooooo I am sooo EXCITED!!!! Mercedes is doing great in school; she will be my senior next year. She and Andrew are still going out and will be 1 year next month…. Young love…LOL He will be graduating this year and is simply still the doll he was along time ago. Mathieu is doing really good too… he has been hanging with friends and since he is my passive child… he sits back and observes the other two and what all is going on so he is just having fun. Hangs out with the buddies and just simply is a great kid!
ME… well we have already touched on that one… AHHA I still am working as this ‘wonderful’ office supply place. My rep I work with is an absolute pain in the rear sometimes, one of the guys is creepy and the other one is never here…LOL sooooooooooo I am trying to keep busy but there are days…
Guess that is all in a nutshell really, I just am bein me …. Buzzin around as always. I do promise I will post more often

Ok so.. I hated my last post and to recall it was silly so I am posting another one. I am at work at 6:30 am and enjoying the peace and quite before everyone gets here. I have just had a few people come and ask me questions... HELLO can't you see I am sitting here quietly minding my own business and enjoying my Carmel frappuccino??" Gezzz! LOL
Anyway, does everyone have plans for New Years Eve? Well Tim and I were invited to a Murder Mystery Dinner. It's geared up around the Wild West days and so we have to play the parts. Tim's character is going to be a shy yet very intimidating gun slinger..LOL that is so him... and is my ex-husband..LOL TOOO funny. I.. OMG.. am so excited.. I am Poker Alice.. call me ALLI for short..I am going to be the bar maid/poker dealer... the FLUZZY if you will.. I am soo totally stoked. To dress up and have a dinner then the murder then the prizes all on New Years Eve is going to be a blast. I so will post the pictures.
Speaking of dressing up... I am looking for an old Western petty coat or a dress or something to the effect of what I have to wear... do any of you have an idea or anything I could borrow???

Should old acquaintances be forgotten, And never brought to mind? Should old acquaintances be forgotten, And days of long ago !

Well another year has come and gone, and we need to stop and take a moment to reflect on what this year has truly brought us. Looking back, I myself have had some major happening such as leaving a job in March, my oldest son graduated high school in May, my daughter turned 16, my baby is not a baby anymore, I got a new job in September, went to the dentist ALL BY MYSELF..lol, had a good Thanksgiving and Christmas... WOW.. when you put things into perspective like that, sometimes I am glad it's all over. I know we all have resolutions to maybe loose weight, maybe quit smoking, spend more time with the family, or promises you will not spend any more money... this year I am soo going to do it. I have joined the YMCA and will be getting up early to go work out before I go to work and I have promised myself that I would walk more at lucnh time instead of go and have the chips and salsa I crave or that horrible cheeseburger that lands right were I DON'T want it..LOL
So ladies, this is my vow and you are my witnesses... My new year's resolution will be to get fit and trim and my goal is to have 50 lbs (if not more) gone by September 15th.
I will be posting here and there about the good the bad and the possible. A few of us are going to make this our OWN Biggest Looser since we all can not afford to leave work and do what it takes to be on the show.

So on a different note, I do wish everyone a better new year were there is not sickness, pain or losses. But a glorious and more happy year to be enjoyed and lived to its fullest!!

9 more Days.....

Hidy-HO-HO-HO... LOL How is everyone doing this wonderful snowy day?? OMG... can you believe how it looks outside? It started about 8:30 last night and OMG.. When I got up at 3 there was a blizzard... but then at 5:30.. it had stopped. No snow day for any of us but it does look very pretty.
Guess it is time to break out the socks AGAIN and start to wear them... If I could do it in my sandals and flip flops all year I would.
Have any of you done any baking or finished your Christmas shopping??? I have done neither... not really because of "scrooge-like" attitudes... it's trying to get that extra couple of dollars and time in...I hate the way the economy is turning out but guess we have to live with it really... OK.. NO NEGATIVITY.. :)
What did everyone ask 'Santa' for this Christmas? I want anything pink, and a lifetime membership to Starbucks, a car, a pink laptop, and Victoria Secret perfume. Oh and ... ready for this one... WORLD PEACE!.. lol
No seriously.. Tim and I decided not to exchange gifts this year and we are going to just do the kids. There is 9 more days and I need to get on the ball... I will be doing some baking tonight like the cookies and the candy and then this weekend I will be shopping... for what I have no idea.. what the heck do you get three teenagers who don't care what they get... Should I get 3 HUGE boxes and wrap a gift card in them with money??? It gets harder and harder each year.
Anyway today was just a bunch of rambling so have fun in the snow and beee safe and beeeeee buzy!!! heheheh

More Updates on Jennifer.....

Hello everyone...

First of all you are most welcome for the updates. I promised her I would do this so everyone would know what was going on.
I didn't post much yesterday because I either text some of you or since we know people who know people who know Jennifer I figured the word would get around. Those who have not heard here it goes...
Ms. Roeder has been doing a great job walking and sitting and even going potty on her own. When you have this kind of surgery most of the doctors fill your tummy with gas/air... this allows them to do what they need to do without having any other organ jump in the way :)
Well this gas travels where it wants after so long. The most common place for it to go is in the shoulders or neck and back area. Hers so far has moved to her shoulder. This is causing a lot of pain and is uncomfortable to her. When this gas is used in the body, the way to get it to leave you have to move. So there for the more you stay in one spot the more IT stays and it hurts when you move.
Anyway... she increases her walking each day and the nurses are having her move quite frequently. She does have a tied rope hanging on her bed.. HAHAHAHA (No Leroy has not tried to use it) she is to use to move and help her sit up and such. She does sit in the recliner allot and with all considering she is good.
She says it hurts to breath a bit BUT again its because of the gas...
She had her "Dye test" yesterday where she was really excited to have some liquid in her mouth (she was not to have anything to drink for 24 hours after surgery) it was called Blue Ice. She said it was gross and wished she could have had just a glass of regular ice water..LOL
WELL.. the blue ice was to see if there was any seepage... SHE HAD NONE!! YEAHHH!! Then they gave her an ounce of water per hour... and let me tell you... She sure was a grazin..LOL just kiddin Jennifer... This all started at about 1ish yesterday. She did well and everything staid in and once again no seepage! :)
She has been put on Crystal Light today and is doing really good with it. I did ask her if she had any regrets and she laughed and said she was joking with the nurses that"who the hell signed her up for this" and "tell me why I am doing this"..LOL
I do have to say she has had some really good nurses as well. Very caring and laugh every time they see her... I mean talk with her... lol She has had NO blood pressure meds but has had to have 2-3 doses of insulin but that was due to her sugar level was just a tad high so for precautionary reasons they gave it to her.
Oh and she HATES that she can not shower yet and they offered to wash her hair...LOL The hospital has a shower cap that apparently has shampoo in it and so they wash it that way... Its like the dry shampoo... Not sure if its like the kind to use on a cat or dog but made for humans but ya never know... :s LOL Other than that she is so thankful for the friends that she has and has felt all of the prayers and such and thanks you ALL for everything!! Those that were able to come by and see her BIG HUGS and such. She will be going home sometime late this afternoon or early evening. Leroy has the track so not sure what will happen.. if Tim will take over for him or if he will surprise Jennifer and bring her home.
How's Leroy been in all of this... I think what I will say is... "DON"T EVEN ASK ME RIGHT NOW!!!!" ummmm yeah..JERK! But what really matters is that Jennifer is doing great, she loves and misses everyone and is ready to kick it Roeder Style...LOL

An Update on Mz. Roeder

Good day everyone!!
Well Jennifer went into surgery at 8:55am and came out at 10:15am. The doctor came and talked to everyone and said the surgery was a great success and she was wonderful. She has 6 small holes in her from the laprescopy (sp) tool and had a drain tube. She was not taking to the Morphine they gave her so they gave her some new stuff.. don't ask me to tell you cause I can't remember..LOL All I know is that she is DRUGGED!!! Party in her scrapbook room!!!!!!!! HAHAHA Just kidding Jen!!! :) Really I am...
Anyway she was very happy and herself when we got to her room. Joking and laughing and carrying on about this and that... She was moving her legs and sitting up just a bit.

Like I said, she was all smiles and having no pain. I left and came back later in the afternoon and when I got back she was still in a great mood and she wanted to try and get up.
The nurse gave her some meds and boom.. she was up. The gas they filled her tummy with is what is giving her pain now. Thank god for the small controller. LOL Even her blood pressure was remarkably down to normal!!! Yes, she was so excited.
I do have more pictures of her but promised I would not post any.. so guess I will be in trouble for this one huh?
Tomorrow she will be having few x-rays done and then she will be allowed to have her 'blue ice'...this is to see if anything will come out of her incisions. Oh Yea.. I forgot... Leroy did come and was there the entire time. Well I take that back ... he had to run to the bank and then he was there... He was kinda in this haze of what was going on but was right by her side. A BIG thank you to those who came to see her... I know she really appreciated it. She will hopefully come home on Wednesday unless she passes the stuff she needs to tomorrow...
I thank you all for your thoughtful words and prayers. :) We have to look after 'our ' Jennifer...
Ok.. that is all I have for now so I will post more later. She is at St. Francis hospital and in room 8059 if you would like to see her.

Tradition ... it never fails...

WOW.. I have now been up for 'almost' 24 hours... I went to bed at 11:30 last night and got up at 2:45 am to get ready for the most exciting day in a year... BLACK FRIDAY!!! Yes, I was one of those crazy nuts who decided to go out and battle the crowds... the screaming kids and the irate associates who will not get their first breaks till at least 10 or 11 if that FTER HAVING TO BE IN AT 3 am.
This year makes it the 7 time that I have joined Jennifer, her sister in law Betty and niece Jennifer. We try to take the vehicle that has the most room and start at Wal-Mart usually... WOW.. people, I have to say as well that this is one of the most hilarious times I swear. When they drop the ropes and say go..This is what I observed this year.. Lady A stands gets in early and is the leader.. she greats everyone that starts to line up behind her... she gets friendly with the entire row by 4:30ish.. Asking everyone what they are after and starts her prestigious plan. Meanwhile Lady B is on the other side of the store getting those toys and such .. Only communication is the cellular device or walkie talkies...LOL
As both women get to know and make "fake" friends they make this statement..." ok.. here is the plan, I will go in and grab 12 VCR's and then meet you all around the store...(sound of walkie talkie) "Ok.. I am ready to get 7 garmans and all the DVD's I can pile in my cart, and 25 packs of batteries that can be price matched for $2.99"...
So seriously.. these women are NUTS!!!!!.. am I exadurating??? NO I AM NOT!!!
This is how it is. When those ropes go down or the doors open.. they scurry in like freakin mad people!!! They do not care they run over your azzz nor do they care that they make you spill your $12.00 cup of Starbucks coffee that is just the perfect temp to drink...LOL
Anyway this TRADITION that we all say..'next year I think I wont go'... comes and we do the same thing... Next year I will go and sit here once again and let you know... HOW really crazy people are.
I am off to grab some sleep so PEACE... I'm outta here!!!

I know... why have a blog if you never update it....

I have just been a bit busy with soo much stuff going on. The holidays are coming and I am feeling the stress of the house not being clean for company, I want the carpets done before we put up the tree and the kids going "mom, I need gas, I need money... AUUUUGHHHHHH!
Can someone say Calgone take me away! LOL I guess I could be exaggerating a bit but it just seams as you get older the time starts slipping away faster and faster.
We have been dealing with the "CAR" issue. My little car is now dead. :( I know... It's crazy so we are off to do some car hunting... I hate this!! If anyone has a great car, works good and has heat let me know... Oh yea, it has to cost only $100.00 HAHAHAHAHAH (snort..snort... hahahaha)
Ok so maybe not that low but it would be nice.
I also have been thinking about my best friend Roeder alot lately. I know some of you think since that we live only 3 houses from one another we always do stuff or call each other... but sometimes we don't. As you all know she is getting ready for her gastric bypass surgery. There will be a small get together for those who would like to join us Saturday night around 6pm at her house.
